On the 9th of May there was the Exponential Future Symposium placed in
Hong Kong. It's main topics were development of exponential
technologies, especially AI and Anti-Aging technologies, and the
associated rewards and risks - including potential existential risks.
One of the lecturers was Dmitriy Kaminskiy, senior partner and
co-creator of Deep Knowledge Ventures.
Kaminskiy’s conference presentation was
titled: “Investment in disruptive exponential technologies and adapting
the VITAL robotic board member to improve this strategy”. Among the speakers were: scientist and populazer of Artificial General Intelligence Ben Goertzel, specialist in robotics Mark Tilden, scientist and CEO of Cyber Future company Andrew Garazha, futurologist Alexey Turchin and prototype of Artificial Intelligence robot Han.
I think that it was very interesting and productive conference, and,
definitely, it would cause the positive effects on the mankind and would
help the scientific progress.
